Norma Shearer’s floral gown she wore in “Marie Antoinette” as well as her travelling gown were later reused. 

The floral gown was worn by an actress in “Singin’ In The Rain”, as well as one of Norma´s wigs. The wig Jean Hagen wears when she comes out of a dressing room and says “Gee, this wig weighs a ton” In response to, “Everyone wore them.” and she replies, “Then everyone was a dope!” was in fact one worn by Norma.

In “Du Barry was a Lady” Lucille Ball wears Norma´s travelling gown.
